Nazareth House is owned and run by the Sisters of Nazareth, a Catholic religious order of nuns which was founded in England in 1857. We strive to uphold the Core Values of our foundress, Victoire Larmenier, in all that we do here at Nazareth House. We have a board of management and employ a team of full-time managers to care for the medical, financial and technical well-being of the home.
The Sisters and staff care for 35 HIV+ orphans, 22 adult, terminally ill Aids patients, 135 frail aged and 10 mentally challenged women. Most of the residents of Nazareth House can no longer adequately care for themselves or be maintained by the community.
We also run a clinic for over fifteen hundred patients from the local community.
The Board of Management is constituted according to the requirements of the Department of Social Development and consists of a Chairman, Vice Chairman and 11 members who carry appropriate portfolios.
