When volunteering to help Nazareth House, consider this:

The Congregation of the  Sisters of Nazareth was founded by Victoire Lamenier and inspired by the spirit of the Gospel.

Together with the people of God, we aim to bring the love of Christ to all, especially the poor, through the ministry of care and education. We value and respect the dignity of each human being, based on the words of Christ: “..you did it to me.”

Looking for volunteers is indirectly related to our fundraising process.

Volunteers offer their time, talents, expertise and capabilities without charge, to serve both the residents and the staff of Nazareth House, in a Catholic mission environment.

The importance of their contribution is unquestionable and has been reaffirmed by the Board of Management of Nazareth House.

Volunteer Programme

  1. From time to time, Nazareth House requires the services of specialists, trained in the areas of

    1. “Children with special needs”, i.e. social, educational, medical and physical.
    2. Care of the elderly, in Physiotherapy, Chiropody, Manicure/pedicure etc.

We have had great success with volunteers who “live in” and provide their services free, on a full-time basis, for periods of 3 months to a year.

Overseas volunteers will only be accepted if the service they provide is not financially available locally.

If you are qualified and have experience in any of these areas and wish to offer your services free to Nazareth House, please contact Sr. Lorraine Akal  at:
